World Cancer Congresses
The World Cancer Congress takes place every two years. In the wake of the congress, the actions and measurements to fight cancer are debated and prioritised by world leaders and specialists before being released to the world.
Offering a highly diverse curriculum, the World Cancer Congress operates free from political or commercial ties and links its education programme to the targets of the World Cancer Declaration.

Capacity-Building Workshops
UICC announces a series of two-day workshops to provide training and
technical support to low- and middle-income countries to assist them to
use research to guide the development and evaluation of cancer
prevention programs.
UICC has invested in the collection and analysis of population survey data on cancer risk perceptions and behaviours in 44 nations, including low- and middle-income countries. A report on the survey findings from 39 of these countries was released on World Cancer Day 2009 and individual country reports have been prepared and sent to UICC. For many countries, this is the first time such data have been made available to form part of the planning process for developing public health communication initiatives in cancer prevention.
